First of all, the venue. We decided on our favourite hotel in Scarborough, Park Manor. We liaised with the manageress, Alison, regarding accommodation and which room to have the reception and sent out the invitations.
Sandra said she would help to organise things through the internet and she was as good as her word, seeing to the cake, balloons, decorations, seat planning etc.
Andy said that he would be the official photographer and he did a great job of work on the night.

I am not going to try to name all the guests who turned up at the Silver Wedding but suffice to say that there were friends and relatives of both Sheila and myself. The relatives being children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with a niece (Sandra) and her husband thrown in for good measure. It was a lovely memorable evening which I shall never forget.
To conclude these memoirs I would just like to say that some people are lucky in marriage but I have been doubly lucky. First of all with Margaret, my first wife and mother to my four children , and then after Margaret had died at the early age of 50 I met Shelia, who, after a lot of coaxing from her sister in law, Nancy Rust came out on her first visit to Cyprus and eventually we married and I have spent another happy twenty-
It is rather a pity that Margaret and Sheila never met as I am quite sure that they would have liked each other and I'm quite sure that Margaret would have been quite happy with my choice as her successor as she said before she died that she hoped I would find someone to share my life with after she had gone.
